Pupil Premium & Recovery Premium
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. The Government requires all schools to report to parents on the amount of Pupil Premium Funding they receive each year and how it was/ is being used. Once the information becomes available, the impact of the funding will also be reported.
For the academic year 2021-2022, St. Ethelbert’s RC Primary School received £83,700 in Pupil Premium funding.
The Recovery Premium is a one-off grant to support educational recovery, following the pandemic. The funding will help schools to develop evidence-based approaches to support disadvantaged pupils in catching up with their learning. The Recovery Premium is allocated using the same data as the Pupil Premium. In 2022/2023 the school has been allocated £7,898, plus a school contribution of £5,265.
