School Uniform

 

Uniform

All pupils are expected to wear full school uniform.  
Boys:
  • grey uniform trousers (long or short)
  • grey sweater
  • blue shirt / polo shirt
  • grey socks
  • plain blue tie
  • black school shoes
Girls:
  • grey skirt/pinafore
  • grey  uniform trousers
  • grey cardigan/sweater
  • blue blouse / polo shirt
  • plain blue tie
  • white or grey socks/tights
  • black school shoes
  • blue & white checked dress (summer)
 
Nursery & Reception:
  • as above, but preferably short sleeved shirts to avoid wet sleeves when playing in water
  • school shoes fastened by Velcro- not laces
  ALL children must wear sensible black/grey shoes or trainers.  Heavy type boots / trainers or highly coloured/metallic trainers are not allowed.

PE Kit

   
P.E.Kit (Y1-6)
  • Blue shorts
  • White T-shirt with school emblem
  • Navy pump bag
  • Black pumps
For outside PE
  • Warm top/fleece/hoodie 
  • Tracksuit bottoms/leggings  
  • Trainers
Y6 swimming kit (Autumn term)
  • Girls – one-piece swimming costume
  • Swimming cap
  • Boys- swimming trunks – long shorts are not allowed
  PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL ITEMS OF UNIFORM ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME. P.E. kits must stay in school until the end of each half term, when they must be taken home and washed.

  Jumpers and cardigans (embroidered with the school emblem) are also available from our supplier:   Harrisons, 467a, Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge, Bolton Tel: 01204 307382   Parents are not obliged to purchase uniform with the school emblem – other grey knitwear is acceptable, as long as its colour and style are appropriate for school.

Jewellery & Make-Up

  • Children should not wear any form of jewellery as this may be lost and can cause accidents in P.E. and in the playground.  The school offers this disclaimer – that should an accident be caused to self or others by the wearing of jewellery, the school will not be held responsible.
  • Under no circumstances can pupils wear jewellery during P.E., including swimming.
  • Make-up and nail varnish are not allowed.
